The Ferrari 550 Barchetta Pininfarina, launched in 2000, is a special, limited edition, a tribute to the tradition of Ferrari's great open-top cars and a celebration of 70 years of collaboration between Ferrari and Pininfarina. It is directly derived from the Ferrari 550 Maranello, the berlinetta launched in 1996.
Unlike some historic "barchettas" with very low or no windshields, the Ferrari 550 Barchetta Pininfarina has a conventional full-height windshield, with a manual, non-rigid hood to cover the car. It also features two fixed, prominent roll-bars positioned behind the headrests of each seat.
Notable owners of this car include Michael Schumacher and Eddie Irvine.
New line, just launched by BBR resin models in 1/18 scale all designed, manufactured and assembled in Saronno's workshop. All models in limited and numbered series.
