The long history of the Ferrari 250 GTO chassis number 3589 begins in 1962, the year of production and of the first English owner. After a successful season on the track, at the end of 1962 it was purchased by Tom O'Connor in the United States who, after a few months of racing and many podiums, decided to donate it to Victoria High School in Texas in the USA in 1964.
