The Ferrari 512 BB was presented at the 1976 Paris Motor Show as a road-going sports car.
At that time, the 308 series and also the 246 series of Ferrari were already delivered with an integrated Targa roof. The challenge for ANLIKER, a swiss design studio known for its eccentric ideas, was to transform it into the first 512 BB Targa, which had never existed before. The roof itself disappears completely behind the two seats, inconspicuously. Just one movement and it is ready to be inserted and closed.
The result is the fastest Ferrari 512 BB Targa, with 520 hp and a top speed of 330 km/h, an incredible width of 214 cm, 11" front and 16" rear wheels, a red powder-coated engine block and "gold-plated" intake manifolds. The wheel nuts and emblems are also gold-plated. The seats and interior are upholstered in de Sede leather. The refinement of the car created by Ueli Anliker Design in the colors red, white and gold.
