The Ferrari 296 Speciale A, or Aperta, is the spider version of the evolution of the 296 GTB. Presented in April 2025 - at the same time as the coupé version - it is equipped with a retractable roof that does not change the shape of the car when stored. This plug-in hybrid offers a significant weight reduction and an increase in overall power. The design is immediately recognizable compared to the GTB version thanks to aerodynamic appendages derived from the 296 Challenge, such as the front aero damper, which channels air from the bottom to the bonnet to stabilize the front end. At the rear, the side wings stand out, reducing resistance and increasing vertical load with a 20% increase compared to the 296 GTB. The engine remains a twin-turbo V6 combined with an MGU-K electric motor, but the overall power increases to 880 HP, with an increase of 50 HP compared to the 296 GTB.
