After qualifying P6—his lowest grid result of the 2026 season due to an electronic glitch— Hamilton’s Japanese Grand Prix 2026 was defined by extreme energy management. He capitalized on a Safety Car (triggered by Oliver Bearman) to move into podium fight but he had not the same pace of the other competitors, ending in sixth position.
