The Ferrari F355 is a 2-seater sports car with a mid-engined 8-cylinder rear engine, produced by the Italian car manufacturer Ferrari from 1994 to 1999.
The name 355 of this model indicated the total displacement of 3.5 liters and the 5 valves per cylinder. "F1" furtermore, indicated the transfer of some technologies from Formula 1 such as the 6-speed electro-hydraulic gearbox; in the absence of the clutch pedal, the driver changes gear using two paddles placed behind the steering wheel.
The F355 was also innovative thanks to an in-depth study conducted by Pininfarina on aerodynamics, both for the passage of flows in the fully faired underbody of the car, and around the cockpit.
