The Ferrari Mondial Quattrovalvole (QV), introduced in 1982, represents a major milestone in the evolution of Ferrari's mid-engine 2+2 grand tourers. As an evolution of the earlier Mondial 8, the Quattrovalvole introduced a 32-valve engine configuration (4-valves per cylinder) that significantly boosted the power.
Styled under Leonardo Fioravanti at Pininfarina, the Mondial QV kept its distinctive wedge shape, long wheelbase and iconic side air intakes. The 1982 model featured revised front grilles, redesigned bumpers, and "Quattrovalvole" badging on the rear.
Introduced initially as a closed Coupé, one year later in 1983 the Ferrari Mondial QV Cabriolet was launched too.
